Bella Toscana, the B side of a postcard

Twitter Samuel Webster o Bella #bellatoscana

What is Bella going to do next?
I'm finally answering the question of friends/fans around me, as I've been working last few months 24/7 in Milano, what am I going to do for holidays?
Well, I'm going to join Samuel Webster's project "Bella Toscana",
which is a photographic and blogging trip in and around Tuscany,
with the aim of showing you which is the real life here,
the sort of B SIDE OF A POSTCARD,
touching all the aspects:
la Bella Vita, people, food, wine, fashion, handmade, music, art etc.
We're going to take you along, by updating our fan pages in
Fb Samuel Webster or Bella
Twitter Samuel Webster or Bella #bellatoscana  and in my blog Capitocome.
This is Sam's Bella Toscana official page
and this is his website, where you can check out his amazing preview work/portfolio.
A special thank you to all people that have already believed in his project,
and to the project sponsor, Walks of Italy, which offers wonderful walking tours all over the country.

Diane Pernet 's next step from ASVOFF to SHADOWS OF AN ICON exhibition

Celebrating “destiny” as its theme, the short film contest for ASVOFF Milan 2012 was launched as an ‘open call’ several months ago by Diane Pernet on her blog ASVOF www.asvof.com. Films selected for competition are limited to one minute in length and explore a diverse range of perspectives on destiny.  Explaining how the theme came about, Diane says:

“Destiny is interesting here because, like fashion, it can be fuelled by both the exceptionally trivial and the hugely profound.  At the same time, it’s also a very personal concept and one that’s pretty puzzling for most people – yet strangely revealing too.  So all this mirrors fashion in a way.  And if you think of life as one big film, then destiny is that slippery moment just after the projection of the final frame.  The cinema goes black and the audience holds its breath as the credits begin to roll.  No one really knows what destiny looks like because it only appears after we’ve expired.  But that doesn’t necessarily mean we shouldn't ponder it. Or try to shape it.”

Well, I personally thought it was amazing,
just as destiny is.
Let's not try to shape it!

Next step: going to the

DIANE PERNET, SHADOWS OF AN ICON exhibition

Milano Design Week 2012

...moving to Milano during the Design Week was pretty
hardcore.
In a good way: parties, exhibitions, aperitives, cool people,
and WORK WORK WORK.
So, this is my
point of view,
exploring the thin boundary between
past
and future.

PAST
artisanal'700 Florence inspiration design of TERME FIRENZE

FUTURE
ANOTHER TERRA/HOME AWAY FROM HOME, eco kit for hand luggage with all is necessary to move to another planet

PAST
barriques barrels from S.Patrignano community have been recycled (giving them a new life) by more than 30 famous designers: names like Fiorucci, Pininfarina, De Lucchi, Cerri, Sigini, Rota...
Chaise-longue Michele by Erasmo Figini

the FUTURE of PAST
Benjamin Hubert, class of 1984, the enfant prodige of international design, has created Juliet: the armchair that symbolises Poltrona Frau's one hundred anniversary.
