Down Under by Bill Bryson

Let's
read
a
book.
Did you know that
in 1967 the Prime Minister
Harold Holt
plunged into a surf
and VANISHED?
As Mr Bryson wrote,
"THIS SEEMED DOUBLY ASTOUNDING TO ME
-FIRST THAT AUSTRALIA COULD JUST
LOSE
A PRIME MINISTER
(I MEAN, COME ON)
AND SECOND THAT NEWS OF THIS
HAD NEVER REACHED TO ME"
Exactly.
His funny
and "overall"
('cause he was just a traveller,
he's American)
point of view
is just what you need to know
while you're discovering
Australia
which is so far away every other place.
For example,
this is
THE ONLY NATION
THAT BEGAN AS A PRISON
but
it's
definitely
one of the most
FREE Country
in the world.
